At Braun Dental, we can
restore your missing single
tooth or multi tooth bridge
with the MDI mini implant
system.
Shown below on a model, the
missing single tooth has an
implant placed: the bridge
has 4 implants placed and it
restores a beautiful smile in
about an hour!
Your upper and lower dentures can be stabilized
with MDI mini implants in about an hour.
As shown on the models below, the implants are
placed. The denture snaps into place. We modify
your existing denture with metal and o-ring
connectors so your denture becomes as stable
as possible. We can do this procedure in the
morning and you will be able to have lunch with
your new stable dentures!

Common Questions with MDI implants:
Does it hurt?
Most people experience some pain at the gums around the surgical site and at the place that
the local anesthetic is placed.
Do I need to be asleep?
No, this is a very fast and easy procedure. The physical time of placing a single implant can
be approximately 5 minutes. It is easier than getting a filling on your tooth.
What happens if an implant fails?
Implants can fail. When they do, they can be removed. This is typically a very easy
procedure. When this happens, we remove the implant, let the area heal then we can usually
place another implant to replace the one that was lost.
What happens if an implant breaks when it is being placed?
When your bone is very hard, and implant can fracture at placement. If this happens, the
implant is usually left in place. There is no harm to your body and the piece will integrate with
your bone nicely.
Will I get an infection?
We try to prevent this by giving you an antibiotic after your implant has been placed.
How long will they last?
Implants are long term procedures which can last indefinitely.
How do I clean my implants?
If you have a removable denture, you can clean your implants with a special curved implant
brush or you can use a sonic type tooth brush. If you have fixed/cemented teeth, you can use
a combination of a sonic brush, water pick and floss with floss threaders.
How many implants do I need?
The number of implants you will placed is dependent on your specific needs. Denture
stabilization for the upper typically is 6 implants and 4 on the lower. For fixed/cemented teeth
the number of implants is varied based on your bone and tooth structure.
How much do they cost?
There can be more than one fee for an implant case. There will be a fee for the implant
placement themselves. There will also be a fee for the restorations needed that will be placed
on the implants. The current implant placement fee here at Braun Dental start at $1100 per
implant placed. Prices are subject to change without notice. If you have an existing denture
that we can utilise, then the modification to your existing denture is included in the implant
placement fee. If we cannot use your existing denture, then you will need to have a new
denture fabricated before your implants are placed. If you have crowns and bridges placed on
your implants, the fees for those teeth are similar in cost to regular crowns and bridges. The
only way to give you an exact fee would be by examination of your x-rays and mouth. You can
contact Dr. Peter Braun directly at Braun Dental with any specific question.
